The Rules
Ah, yes, the dreaded rules, everyone hates to read them, but they are a necessary evil, so without further ado, let's get them over with, shall we?
General
Be respectful to everyone. It doesn't matter if they are staff or a member or a guest, just... be nice to people. This is a safe place, and if you feel someone is disrespecting you, contact staff and we'll help remedy the situation. If you have any questions, if you ask, we'll try to be on often enough to answer your question.
Characters
No perfect characters! You will not be approved if your character seems like a perfect character, a Mary-Sue. Even if you don't think so, if the staff do not approve your character, you need to fix your application appropriately. As long as you provide all the necessary information and your character is not a 'perfect' character, then you should be approved. Everyone needs a face claim. A real life face claim, meaning no anime or CGI or anything else, a real person needs to be their face claim.
Roleplay
No, god-modding, powerplaying or controlling another character. The only exception is the Imperious Curse, but still just suggest that the spell would make them do it, and they can RP their character actually doing it. On the same coin, not everyone can dodge every spell or never lose at dueling, if you fight, keep it fair. Make sure each post is at least 200 words in length. This helps prevent one liners. If you have a hard time reaching it, its okay, just keep trying and it'll get easier.
Your Profile
One character per account! It helps organize everything easier. You'll find several places to fill out in the personal tab of your profile. The Hover Image is 250x450, and should simply be the image's url. The Year blank should be filled in with the year the character is in, ie Seventh Year, Sixth Year, Third Year, Alumni, etc. The House/Occupation blank should be filled in with their house, or their job (if they are graduated); ie Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Bartender, Auror, etc. In the blanks Biography, Plotter, Wanted, and Tracker place the url of the threads that correspond to the blanks, such as the link to your approved application in the Biography slot. Finally, in the Relationship blank, place their relationship status; ie Single, Dating Character Name, Its Complicated, etc.
The Code
What, were you expecting it to be hidden? Well, it is a little bit. The code for the application is the word count. Just place that little number in your applications and you're set!
